I have been actively pursuing pottery as a craft since the fall of 2003. In the past I have had opportunities here and there to "play in clay," and now, luckily, I have been able to slowly build a studio for myself. Most pieces are designed in the sunroom of my home, where I find inspiration from the natural surrounding, and don’t mind having the mess of wet clay from the wheel or clay dust footprints on the floor (though so often they seem to find their way inside to the burgundy carpet).

Then each piece is dried in the kiln room (aka my garage) and then fired once for bisque and then again for the glaze. I’ll admit to feeling much like a kid at Christmas each time it’s time to unload the kiln after a glaze firing. I am always trying new things. My style is eclectic in the sense that I do work that ranges from earth tones on dark clay bodies to bright colors on white clay.

I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to learn a skill that brings me much joy and fulfillment. I am honored to share my work with each person who may read this and please know that each piece is made with love.

Thanks again for your interest!
